Bettina & Corey saw a previous wedding I shot at Eagle’s Nest Open Space in Livermore and decided it would be a perfect spot for their intimate exchange of vows. Family came from as far as Quebec for a wide open view of Northern Colorado.
One of my favorite shots from the day, taken with my 135L. As I was composing, holding my face a few inches above the ground, the park ranger yelled out, “Look out for at rattlers!” (gulp)
If you choose to secure a permit for a gathering at Eagle’s Nest among the rabbitbrush, remember it’s also pasture for a working ranch – so you might see roaming cattle, and at the least you’ll have to shovel some cow pie for your event.
