Anthony’s been chasing Jenae since high school. She finally gave in, and we now segue to their Wedding Day at Tapestry House.

I loved the acoustic trio playing the theme to Ken Burns ‘The Civil War’ – interesting pick for a wedding, but somehow it worked well.

There was a nice bit of afternoon light rushing in as the officiant spoke of the importance of the wedding rings.

It would appear not everyone was so compelled.

But Jenae was clearly caught up in the emotion of the moment … or was that the intense sun?

Good music was really important to Anthony (as it was at Sonia & I’s wedding). In addition to a bluegrass trio (dig that set list), he had some great selections on iTunes pipped in over the Tapestry House speakers. Jenae’s brother played emcee, hosting the event in between the Wilco and Zero 7.

Though neither bride nor groom particularly liked Wedding cake, a small ceremonial cake was presenting among a table of torts and fruit pies. A little cake, just big enough for pictures.

After cake, Grandpa led the reception in a traditional Mexican wedding dance!

What a night! Before I left, I could resist a ring shot on the Tapestry House’s beautiful wood table in the dining room. Great wedding venue – I hope to return there soon.
