steamboat springs wedding :: alita + denny

I’ve met some DIY brides in my day, but Alita was the first to be her own caterer! How ambitious to take on those duties on top of planning a Colorado mountain wedding from the other side of the globe (she & Denny live at Italy at present). She plowed through all the obsticles and crafted a wonderful ceremony at Midnight Ranch near Steamboat Springs!

This was my daughter Helen’s first official wedding photography assignment. She provided super 2nd shooter coverage – see what you think!

Thanks to Alita’s family for all the warm vibes! I didn’t have to ask Denny where the honeymoon would be as I knew the answer – home, to Italy :-)

vail wedding :: lizzy + clay

A good portion of the state of Texas descended upon Vail for Lizzy & Clay’s big day!

Vail was such a central part of the couple’s early dating so a Mountain Wedding was the automatic choice – how about this Citizen Kane moment in front of the Vail Interfaith Chapel.

Clay had so many great expressions throughout the day. Loved this look back as he was receiving his ring.

Now on to the super fun reception at The Lodge at Vail !

Thanks so much to JoAnne at Mountains & Meadows wedding planning – she looked out for everyone (including me) all day – the best!

My wife Sonia and I managed to escape for a weekend and return to our old stomping grounds around Telluride. Summers are so special there!

The light was really nice before Dinner and we decided to point the camera at each other!

I love expoloring the San Juan Mountains so much !

And one last image from our way back over Independence Pass.
