Hadley & Tim had spent so much time together on the slopes on Steamboat mountain, so why not get married there?

At the appointed hour, a crowd gathered on the slope - then without fanfare, Tim arrived.
And now the bride, in white, skiing up to her waiting Dad to walk her down the aisle (actuall up the aisle in this case).
This all happened very quickly. Next the crowd circles in and vows are exchanged.
Getting married in shades - only in Colorado, lol.
Now that we’re married, let’s hit the slopes!

What a day! After all that skiing and dancing, I was tired - can’t image if bride + groom had much energy for anything else after the reception :-)
We had some perfect December weather over the weekend ~ warm sun for Erin + Asa’s most excellent Christmas Wedding at Saint Dominic Parish & The Grand Hyatt.

Erin’s a writer from Denver and Asa’s entering Med School to be a family doctor - much of his family came in from Ray, Colorado.

Now that’s a bridal party! How we all fit into the Porsche limo is still a mystery, lol.

“And now an all purpose blessing for the Straight, Gay, Catholic, Methodist & Buddhist gathering assembled here today.”

The band Funkiphino was so much fun - beginning with the rocked up father/daughter dance!

Congrats to Erin + Asa and thanks for having me along on such a fun day!
She’s from St. Petersburg, Russia - he’s from Oklahoma City, USA. The site of their dream wedding? Estes Park, Colorado.

The staff at Della Terra made the winter night reception so so smoothly.

I loved this peek at Katya’s father’s speech notes.

The Russian toasts were sealed with vodka.
The night air was a little crisp, but didn’t get in the way of group photos. There were no complaints about the cold (in Russian OR English).
Dancing went late into the night. I don’t think I see anyone sitting! I’ve photographed a number of Russian-American unions and they’re always so festive.
Congratulations to you both! Can’t wait to see your storybook picks!
It was a cold day at The Oxford Hotel in Denver when Chelsea & Jordan tied the knot. They were both such sports and never once mentioned the weater.

The rings are sitting on a very clever Groom’s Cake, desguised to look like a Chipotle Burrito - it’s actually a roll cake (like a giant Ho-Ho).
